Countries are interested in developing economic relations in various directions. To date, Austrian companies have invested $73 million in the economy of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan, in turn, invested $ 60 million in the Austrian economy. There are over 70 companies with Austrian capital in Azerbaijan.
“Apart from the logistics and transport sector, we are also interested in opportunities in the sphere of traditional industries, such as the food industry and agriculture. We are also interested in cooperation in the tourism sector,” President of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov said.
In turn, Austria is interested in increasing the share of the non-oil sector in bilateral trade. In this direction they consider the spheres of high technologies, transport, consulting services, tourism and education. According to Konstantin Bekos, Austria is ready to support the implementation of the East-West project.
"We are very interested in participating in this transport project. Because this implies additional links with large economies, with the largest countries of our world - China and Europe. This can help in establishing and exchanging links, experiences, standards. And as you understand, this will lead to establishing even more new ties and developing transport roads,” Konstantin Bekos added.
On the sidelines of the business forum, AZPROMO President Rufat Mammadov said that this year it is planned to hold 12-13 export missions, each of which can be represented by up to 30 Azerbaijani companies. By the end of this year, the opening of the wine house will take place in China. Now the work is of a technical nature, negotiations are held with the free trade zone of Shanghai, where the opening of the wine house is expected.
