29 applicants have scored 700 points in the entrance exams. 13 of them, who chose the first specialty group, were admitted to the Baku Higher Oil School. Among them is the first-year student Azer Zeynalli, who is going to study Process Automation Engineering Department at the Baku Higher Oil School.
“It takes a lot of effort to score 700 points in the entrance exam. In addition, I think that luck also plays a significant role. It is also extremely important to be attentive in exam. Here I can get a high- level education. In previous years, many applicants who scored 700 points also chose BHOS,” Azer Zeynalli added.
The Baku Higher School of Oil has been recruiting students for 7 years already. Every year, higher education institution attracts an increasing number of people wishing to study at this university.
“Over the course of its existence, the BHOS has always differed both with its admission indicators, and the successes of its graduates. This year, 179 people were accepted to the university. They will be educated in four specialties. Recently, a new specialty-information security was opened at the university,” Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov added.
At present, most graduates of the Baku Higher School of Oil work in a number of local and transnational companies.
“While observing test activites at the STAR plant, built by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, I got acquianted with the graduates of the Baku Higher Oil School. Currently, about 30 graduates work there. I was informed that they do not lag behind the graduates of well-known Turkish universities, such as the Middle East Technical University, Boghazichi and the Istanbul Technical University. More importantly, they even surpass them,” SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said.
The Baku Higher Oil School, established in 2011, is aimed at educating highly specialized engineering personnel.
