On the occasion of the last day of the Francophonie weeks held in Baku, an event uniting French-speaking people, the official closing ceremony was held with the participation of foreign countries’ ambassadors and representatives of the public. A total of about 30 various events have taken place as part of the Francophonie weeks, including the screening of films, exhibitions, musical events and contests.
French ambassador to Azerbaijan Aurelia Bouchez welcomed the public interest shown in the Francophonie weeks. Participants have also contributed to the successful holding of these events. According to Aurelia Bouchez, thanks to the participation of diplomats from French-speaking countries, the Francophonie weeks have been very abundant and unforgettable.
One of the latest such events was a Francophonie buffet joined by representatives of numerous countries’ embassies. A number of stands featured the national cuisine and artworks of the represented countries.
Speakers noted that such events provide suitable conditions to show cultural diversity and contribute to the development of cultural relations among countries.
