The 10th international music festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Culture, was successfully completed. The annual music festival has attracted the attention of the entire music world.
“I have a lot of impressions about Azerbaijan. We had the 10th festival, a terrific festival. I am very pleased that my friend Salvador Brotons of Barcelona, has come personally to perform at this concert,” Dmitry Yablonsky, art director of festival said.
At the last concert of the Festival, the most famous classic pieces were performed, and renowned tenors performed arias from popular operas such as Aida, Sevilla Barber, Don Juan, Toska. Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra have impressed the audience with great music by Mozart, Giuseppe Verdi, Puchchini, Rossi.
Performances of the Azerbaijani opera singers were also met with applauses. Samir Jafarov, Adil Akhundov, Elnara Mammadova, Maharram Huseynov performed world's most famous arias together with their colleagues Mine Kurtoglu of Turkey, Kiara Isotton from Italy and Georgiy Chchelidze from Georgia.
“The program was very interesting. There was everything here, including mugam, jazz and symphonic music. Here we have two main aspects –enlightenment and the festival has no commercial aim, because there are no tickets, everything is free. We have given information about composers and works. we have enlightened people. Therefore, the people come and listen with pleasure,” Farhad Balalbeyli, art director of festival said.
Well-known musicians, soloists, conductors and talented young artists from around the world are taking part in the 10th Gabala International Music Festival. Musicians from Russia, Israel, the United States, Italy, Turkey, Georgia, Hungary, Switzerland and Spain joined the 10th Gabala Music Festival, organized on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The festival ended with Uzeyir Hajibayli's work, the Koroglu opera - Koroglu's aria.
