81 percent of Azerbaijani citizens trust the government, according to a recent public opinion poll.
45 percent of those polled have confidence in political parties and 65 percent confide in the Milli Majlis, says an analytical report of the Dutch financial services company ING sponsored by the European Union Eastern Partnership program. Its partner ACT LLC conducted a poll among the population.
According to the report, about 80 percent of the citizens are optimistic about the country’s future, and some 83 percent of respondents are upbeat on their personal future.
The economic situation in Azerbaijan was also analyzed. The level of inflation for 2018 is projected at 6.9 percent. According to the analysis, the average annual rate of manat to the dollar rate in 2018 is expected to strengthen and stand at 1.59 (currently 1.7 manats), while the price of a barrel of oil in 2018 is projected at $51. The analysts expect domestic demand to be further stabilized.
